What was the highlight of Hotel Moderno Puerta del Sol
Relaxing, friendly hotel with a warm welcome on arrival and a friendly goodbye as you depart.
The rooms are very comfy with toiletries provided. There's a lot to see and do in Madrid but if you just wanted a quiet night in the room works well for that too. The breakfast has lots of variety, more than I can eat and tastes good. The reception staff speak good English and are very friendly. I've been coming here for nearly 5 years now and they always remember me and ask how my family are. When I got ill and ended up in hospital but I had no one with me, they packed my bag up for me as requested and found me another room when I got out of hospital. Not all hotels would do that. I knew I didn't need to worry about my belongings being kept safe for me. I never feel like a stranger or alone when I'm visiting Madrid when I stay here.

Warmly recommended
The location is fantastic... almost no need for the metro as we were able to walk to the most important attractions. It was cold in February but the heating was excellent. The breakfast was great too. Staff was very kind

Some of the staf need more practice, and if i want to leave my bag for 1 day i must pay for that!!!!
